Men's Hairstyle Trends for 2010

Although men are traditionally portrayed as shabby, rough-skinned individuals more interested in beer and sport than grooming, this myth is being gradually deconstructed as male grooming becomes not only an important part of the modern man's life, but also a vast and growing industry. If you like to take care of yourself and you want to update your appearance to keep up with the current trends, then getting a contemporary hairstyle is essential. Here are some of the big looks that are developing in 2010.

Buzz Cut

Wentworth Miller buzz hairstyle for male. Wentworth Miller buzz cut

A great, low maintenance classic is making a resurgence this year. The buzz cut has a militaristic heritage, but can be worn well whether the requirement is smart or casual. It is imperative to keep the cut short but completely even across the entire head. If you feel you have the skills you can even give yourself a buzz cut, but to be honest the safest route is always to put your dignity in the hands of a professional unless you have had plenty of experience with clippers.

Messy Top

Robert Downey Jr. hairstyle

People with thicker, wavier hair will probably go for this hairstyle and it seems to be fairly ageless, given that veteran actor Robert Downey Jr. has been parading this particular style of late. It essentially goes with the cropped sides, longer on top set-up that is pretty flexible and lets you make use of layers which allow for volume to be injected into the longer top section. You will probably need to get some mousse involved to achieve a messy top look that lasts and does not lie flat after a few hours. This is definitely one of the hairstyles that has a hit of personality in the 2010 line up.

Long on Top

If you have straight hair that isn`t particularly thick and cannot therefore go for the messy top, then this option is a great retro look that has come back around for 2010. You will need to have the back and sides shaved to a certain degree, but maintain a much longer top layer that dips upwards as it recedes towards the rear of the head. A centre parting can easily be integrated into this look, but you will have to maintain it with regular professional attention.

Textured Fronts

The younger guys out there might be looking to this on-trend hairstyle in 2010. It has been knocking about for a while, but it is also a resurgent classic that shouldn't require a huge amount of work. Basically the sides and back are kept relatively short, while a longer, brow-length front is cultivated with a suitable amount of texturing to provide an appropriate look that mixes class with indifference.

Whether you are a skater who is into Volcom clothing or an indie boy, this hairstyle straddles many genres. Achieving success with this hairstyle will see you adding a bit of product, preferably a wax, into your hair, so it does represent a step up from the buzz cut, but it isn't going to need hours in front of the mirror.

♡new hair⌒♡+

Christmas has passed now and I have been just at home doing nothing ( ̄▽ ̄)ノ Well, actually I have done something ( ´∀`)I have been playing Facebook app "CityVille" for a days already Yesterday I played it for over 12 hours.. *embarrased to say* hahahah~ I can't remember when I was as addicted to some online game last time O(≧∇≦)O Everybody come to join CityVille, it's such a great game hahaha~

Did you notice anything new in the first picture? ♪(●´Д`人´Д`●)♪

YES!!! A postman brought me today my last present from Santa Claus ( ^▽^)σ New hair extensions!

I really missed long hair! I used to have extensions 8 months ago. They got in a bad condition and I got very annoyed at them saying I would never wear extensions again (,,#゚Д゚):∴; But... many times I had a feeling I want to have them again ( ゚,_ゝ゚) I checked many online stores in order to find the perfect extensions

I think I would get a lot of questions about the extensions: what, where, how. I try to answer to all questions in advance My extensions are from HeadKandy.com, online hair extension & product store located in UK (*・ω・) They arrived in a fabolous shiny black box! WTF so many fingerprints on it. I chose the shade called "Tanned Blonde" and the lenght is 24-26'' There's many lenghts available, mine is the longest one (*ノωノ) I think 22'' would have been okay for me too, my hair is so long now ヽ(゚▽゚*)乂(*゚▽゚)ノ Price of my extensions was 144 euros and shipping was 5 euros. Shipping with the quickest shipping method should have taken 1-5 business days to Finland but as we already know, it didn't arrive in time because of the festive season and severe weather

At all I'm very pleased with HeadKandy's extensions and service! The hair feels amazing and quality. There's so much hair! (*^。^人^。^* ) 130 g altogether and you can create really dense hair. I love those extensions I can't say yet anything about how long they stay in good condition. I try to load more on the care of my extensions ('0'*) Before I had 2 extension sets from HairTrade but they got very bad and tangled in a few months I don't know why.

And about the colour.. In each photo it seems like different (* ̄▽ ̄*) For example in the second picture, it looks like the ends were really dark. I tried to take photos from different directions to show the colour because the light of the camera always made hair in the middle look very light and other hair very dark ( ̄ε ̄@) Finally I asked my sister to take this photo I think it shows best the colour ヽ( 〃 ̄ω ̄)人( ̄ω ̄〃 )ノ

I was supposed to go hair dresser with my extensions so she would have dyed my hair into same colour as extensions are ε=(。ノ・ω・)ノ But as I didn't get them in time I had to go there just with the picture from the web site. Of course that photo didn't help much (。-_-。) The photo on web site doesn't tell the whole truth and the shade depends on computer's and printer's colour settings. I didn't want to cancel the hair dresser as it could have taken a long time to get next time. The hair dresser still tried to do her best based on just one picture. She did so well!

My hair happens to be one degree darker than my extensions (* ̄・ ̄*) But I think they blend together well and the difference isn't that noticiable I'll survive with this colour for a while, maybe later I re-dye my hair to excatly same shade (∪。∪) At the moment my own hair is like "very light brown" and extensions "very dark blonde". I haven't seen yet how my hair looks in a daylight or a natural light, hopefully the difference doesn't look so bad then

I wanted to try right away how my hair looks when it's curled (〃´▽`〃) Damn it takes so long to curl my hair now (ノ´Д`)ノ Before it took just 10 minutes. Now about 30 minutes. I just curled them quickly so I could take some pictures I try to style my extensions better and more carefully tomorrow

Oh I have written so much, now I'm so tired! ヽ(*´з`*)ノ

Today's outfit

Baked banana with honey, hazel nut and ice cream (ノ∀`●)⊃ Bananas do look strange but it was really tasty.

Tomorrow I'm going for a dinner with class mates and Tung is coming here at evening(。・ω・。)。* Excited! I'll go to Helsinki before the New Year's Eve and spend rest of my holidays there (●゚∀゚人´∀`●)

My current favourite song It's super catchy! I bet if you listen to it for few times, the beat is stuck on your head hehe (●ゝω・)ノ Nananana~
